During the month of February, Keystone Elementary School celebrated “Kindness.” Students and staff were encouraged to show kindness towards others with kind words and actions. “Kindness Week” was celebrated during the week of February 14th–18th. Each day had a theme and daily challenge related to kindness. The themes included students and staff wearing animal print clothing to show that they are “Wild about Kindness” as well as a hat day with the theme “Hats Off to Kindness.” A “Kindness Tree” grew with leaf hearts to show that “Kindness Blooms at Keystone Elementary.”
The biggest success of Keystone Kindness Month was displayed through kindness towards the community. A school-wide toiletry collection was held to benefit the United Way’s HELP Center in Bristol. Students and staff donated toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo/conditioners, combs, and brushes. It was exciting and heartwarming to see that kindness is contagious at Keystone Elementary!
