Keystone Welcome Back Letter - 2024/25
Dear Keystone Community,
We are looking forward to an exciting and productive year at Keystone Elementary School. Our focus is student centered learning. It is awesome to see so many eager faces come to school everyday to express their enthusiasm, grow their curiosity and develop strong relationships. Our teachers are experienced, dedicated and focused on student achievement. We are working hard to provided the foundation for a bright future for our students.
Parents are essential to our mission. We are grateful to have devoted parents as guardians of student success. We appreciate your thoughtful insight and dedication to your children. Reading and discussion at home go a long way to pave the road for success for children. If you are interested in getting more involved at school, our PTO welcomes parents to help with to participate in or volunteer for fundraising and family events.
In reading, our students are researching to become experts in a variety of areas. Students will spend time reading and analyzing text to answer their own questions in their selected topics. In math, student are exploring real life connections to mathematical problem solving as well as discovering multiple ways to problem solve.
We are implementing Project Lead the Way, PLTW, this year K-5. We are ecstatic to introduce project based learning and discovery to eager Keystone students. Innovation, creativity and problem solving are at the center of Project based learning in S.T.E.M. (Science-Technology-Engineering-Math) This program is innovative and inspiring for students as they engage in real life hands on problem solving. We are planning for the year’s explorations to culminate in a research and science fair.
As always, our goal is to instill an insatiable curiosity, a desire to problem solve and a willingness to share and make the world a better place.
